Covid-19 Lockdown: Travel Closer To Home

First of all, if I knew my trip to Berlin in late December would still be referred to as “my last trip” in June, I would have stayed more than an extra night! That aside, since the UK Coronavirus lockdown began, I have been fortunate enough to be still working full time in the office. So, thankfully, I have managed to keep my mind busy and focused throughout this somewhat surreal time in all our lives. To be honest, I originally thought I would maybe have had so much free time. The thought of some winter sun and the number of wonderful things to do in Malaga made the city a perfect location for a family holiday. From this long weekend, I have created a list of the top things to do in Malaga. This is the perfect number of things to see during a laid back weekend in the sun. Glasglow: Festival Of Lights

Since 2018 Glasgow has been home to Glasglow. This is effectively Glasgow’s festival of lights, brought to you by itison. The event is set in Glasgow Botanic Gardens. The festival takes the Botanic Gardens and amazingly transforms them into a magical world of sound, light and fantasy. Although only 2 years young, Glasglow attracts a large audience. In the event’s first year, they managed to sell 75,000 tickets over the course of the event. This is by far the city’s biggest Halloween event, and it’s growing. Unlike the other itison event, Elfingrove, which is more geared towards a younger audience, this really is fun for all the family. I attended…

Tenerife: Day Trips From Las Americas

Claire and I recently spent our first Summer holiday together in Tenerife. Spain, and more accurately the Canary Islands, is one of those destinations where you are ALMOST always guaranteed sun. Although we mainly used this as a much needed holiday to relax, we also wanted to get out and do a few day trips while we were away. I want to cover these day trips from Las Americas for anyone else looking to do the same. These are in no particular order, as I struggled to pick my favourite day trips from Las Americas. Siam Park Siam Park claims to be the most spectacular water park in Europe. So,…
